Akon Lighting Africa at the United Nations

The world celebrates the signing of the historic agreement adopted in Paris at the end of the 21^st Conference of the Parties on Climate (COP21). Akon, Thione and Samba Bathily are in New York – to celebrate this agreement and mobilize public opinion in favor of clean energy. The founders of Solektra International will also discuss with ministers and heads of state issues specific to Africa, in terms of access to technology and climate finance, particularly in the context of the African Renewable Energy Initiative launched last December by the African group of negotiators at COP 21.
